Even though the mead industry is growing at an amazing rate – it’s still fairly difficult to find mead in your local liquor store. If you want them to start carrying your favorite mead, make sure you ask for it. In the meantime, here’s a list of places you can find mead for purchase online.
VinoShipper is currently the biggest online mead retailer. The website is a little clunky, but it has a great selection. They even teamed up with Moonstruck Meadery to create a mead-specific landing page. Much better looking than their actual site, but still a quite clunky.
Craft Shack is best known for its craft beer selection – but it also has a pretty solid selection of mead. Their options tend to be the general favorites among the craft beer community such as B. Nektar’s Zombie Killer.
That’s right, Amazon, the world’s biggest online retailer has gotten into selling wine. Hopefully the mead will be shipped by Amazon Prime Air drone delivery. Could the drone pour it for you too?
Total Wine is primarily a brick-and-mortar wine retailer with over 100 superstores across 15 states. If there is one near you, it could save on shipping. Their selection is diverse, but it focuses primarily on wine oriented meads (go figure).
Just be aware about shipping policies – several states have strict regulations on shipping alcohol in them – my state, Massachusetts happens to be one of them!
