Everything about Superstition’s Berry White is intense, full-bodied and robust. It’s alike no mead i’ve ever tried, and incredibly delicious…This mead has soul.
2) Moonlight Meadery Last Apple
Here is a look back at the best mead I tasted over the past year based on my rating system. I didn’t try as many as I would’ve liked, but that’s what 2015 is for right?
As always, let me know about the great mead you’ve tried in 2014. What’s your favorite?
Everything about Superstition’s Berry White is intense, full-bodied and robust. It’s alike no mead i’ve ever tried, and incredibly delicious…This mead has soul.
The Necromangocon is a mango & black pepper mead – another inventive and tasty offering from B. Nektar Meadery.
Artesano’s Traditional Mead a very nice offering from the Vermont meadery – smooth, sweet and very drinkable.
The Lumberjack Cyser comes from Maryland’s Orchid Cellar Winery. It’s a warm dessert mead living up to the shape of the bottle. I definitely recommend enjoying on a cool fall or winter night next to a crackling fire – with wood you chop yourself, of course.

Fantastic! Glad to come across this!
Thanks Catherine – glad you enjoy what I’m putting out there.
I don’t believe you have tried ken schramms meads or else it would be on the list
I haven’t tried it yet. I don’t think it is available around me. Hopefully I can get my hands on it and get it on the list for 2015!
I am in love with Heidrun Meadery’s champagne style meads. They are from Pt. Reyes, CA. Not sure how far and wide they are distributed but so, so good. P.S. I’m enjoying your stylish mead site!
Hey Jen,
I haven’t had the chance to try anything from Heidrun, but i’ll definitely keep an eye out for it.
Thanks for the heads up, and thanks for reading!
